We had about a dozen observers at DARC Sat. night. The sky was beautifully dark and seeing was steady. There was a mild breeze off and on. The solar panels provided heat in the building without firing up the generator.
Bob's new binocular telescope performed well. We spent most of out time looking at the usual celestial eye candy. Finding the horsehead visually was easy with the H-beta filters. We got a good look at Comet Wild/p1 or whatever it's designation is.
We had the dinner which has become an observing tradtion- SPAM, green beans and macaroni and cheese. It got pretty cold outside but a good time was had by all.
