We had an exceptionally clear and steady view of the impact site using IR cameras on the 30" Challenger and on a refractor. If it were possible to see anything we should have seen it with this setup.
Like everyone else we saw nothing. We had a TIVO hooked to the video feed and replayed it several times to see if there was a transient. Between 30 and 40 people trekked up to the peak to observe with us.
