September 16, 2009: Mellow night at Monte Bello

Pentti Kanerva

We had 6 scopes, from a 4" refractor to a 16" Obsession (all my figures are approximate), for a dozen visitors at the Open Space District's quarterly star party. Temperature pleasant 55F (18C), light wind, no problem with dew, sky a tad above average. Jupiter with its spot and 4 moons was an obvious target, and our visitors got to sample the different kinds of deep-sky objects from here to Andromeda Galaxy. It was a good star-party night all-around. Thanks to all who made it so!
