PAS, Foothills Park

Rich Neuschaefer

The PAS had one of their Foothills Park star parties last night. The seeing was a little soft and the transpariency wasn't quite as good as it usually is there, but it was a fun night getting out with frineds and showing the brighter objects to the park visitors.

It looked like there were about two dozen telescopes. There was plenty of room for all.

I believe the largest telescope there was a 14" SCT. There were several smaller SCTs, at least 3 good sized refractors. and some very nice mid sized Dobs. I had my AP155EDFS (6.1" f/7 APO refractor). It was fun star hopping to the brighter DSOs. Some of the folks were having a fun hopping from object to object with binoculars.

A very nice evening out under the stars!
