Glenn Talbert
This is a hot tip I wanna share with you guys.
Telescope used: C9.25"
NGC 4449: Galaxy in Canes Venatici.
Extremey bright mag 9.8, (using 138x) very large, box shape, has an uneven surface brightness,
brightest portion of the galaxy seems to be at the southwest area. Edges of the galaxy are not
very definable. Curious, I installed an 0III filter. Surprising, the galaxy responed very well to
the 0III. There was very little if any fading of the galaxy with the filter installed. Pretty
awesome, huh! Galaxy must be very rich with HII regions.
Then slew one fov to the north and a double star appears with a nice bright edge-on galaxy NGC 4460.
