I came home today to a nice surprise. Two nice filaments (okay they been there for a day or two), but a nice active region. Anyone else catch it? I am not yet up on all my solar jargon. :)
Most evenings when I get home I setup a borrowed MaxScope 40 on bogen tripod with a Televue Telepod mount. Good seing too as I was able to use 44x (18mm Cemax and a 2x short barlow).
I don't get home till 6pm so I am sort of lamenting the earlier sunsets. Does that make me a solar weeny? Even when I head out an hour later to the backyard for some views of Selene and Jove?? :)
