La Honda Perseid OR

by James Adams

A bit of a bust, despite the first good seeing in weeks. I bailed out at 3 AM, but I'm going back for another hour out of a mixture of hope and expectation.

The best meteor of the night was a NE-SW maybe mag -4 which covered maybe 15* of sky at 10 PM.

Lyra was visible in detail, and the Andromeda Galaxy was easy naked-eye. My 16 year old boys watched until 1 AM while we talked and snacked. Quality time!
