Comet VZ13 / M3 conjunction

On my sketches last night, I essentially noted the same visual impressions from my backyard from 10:20-11:30p. It was significantly dimmer and more diffused than what I saw at SSP last week. The comet appeared more like a dim distored galaxy. On my 12.5 f/5 paired with a 20T5, I could nearly place both objects in the same FOV. I got my best view through the Pentax 30XW.

Just before I packed up, I got a pleasant surprise from Jupiter. The seeing was good enough to yield excellent "APO type" views (9mm T5)of the GRS and several banding.
