Jamie Dillon
Last night I was gazing up at a decent dark sky at midnight, with Perseus overhead, and Holmes was easy naked eye in town with the Moon still big and bright. The thing is just huge. Looked to be just about half the size of the Pleiades. Don't miss it.
I've been watching Mars move eastward thru Gemini, and last night it'd turned and started heading west. It's moved into retrograde just this week. Really cool! The Earth is starting to lap Mars. Felt like ole Tycho Brahe working before telescopes came along.
