Quick OR

by Alvin Huey

Last Saturday, I trekked up to Blue Canyon, the regular SVAS observing site. There were about 8-10 folks up there.

I didn't bring my 22" reflector, but only the 6" refractor. The skies were okay, about NELM 6.0 for the most part. I peeked and shared many eye candy views with several others. We looked at M15, M27, M57, Veil, Deer Lick group, M31, M33, Double cluster, etc. I spend most of my time socializing with some new friends. At least a couple was aware of TAC-Sac and know of IHOP. I encouraged those few to try and make it up there for darker skies.

I left at midnight as I had a prior engagement in San Francisco

All in all, a fun easy going night.

CS,
Alvin
