Thr skies were about 50% cloudy when we got there...but it somehow clear up for the evening. The skies were rather average and good towards the east. We did have significant sky glow that was exasperated by low lying clouds over Sac in the west...don't bother those looking east though.
We did have some coyotes barking nearby a couple times...then it got pretty bad at about 1:30...people started packing up...then at about 2AM...it was very clear and quite transparent...NELM was about 6.5 then...
I'm sure that packing early rather than waiting out was enhanced by the thought of a bunch of coyotes visiting out little group...even though we got numbers.
All in all, I think we would have more as a few of the usually suspects didn't show up...probably due to the clouds on the way up. In fact Marsha and I caravaned up there...and both are thinking what the heck are we doing, going up there. But "Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained!" lol
