IHOP

by Bill Porte

Shneor and I had IHOP all to ourselves last night. The skies were surprisingly good at an estimated Mag 6.5. There was no snow on the ground, but it was cold! I'll let Shneor chime in with his official OR later, but we viewed some magnificent sites, ranging from the old familiar standby's like the Hercules globs, the ring, the cocoon,et al. to the more esoteric including Hickson 68 and the magnificent little "mini-ring" nebula in Cygnus. Lots of galaxy hopping...especially spectacular views of the Sombrero and M51. And of course the evening wasn't complete without nice views of the Veil, the Swan, and Shneor's ever favorite Bug Nebula. All-in-all a fine night. I had to leave about 1:30ish to get some rest for my daughter's horse show today, but Shneor probably stayed all night!

I will try to make it again tonight at IHOP, so I hope to see many of you there. Bill
