TSE 2006 Turkey

Ditto from Egypt. No shadow bands visible; but excellent seeing. We all got a momentary (and brilliant) glimpse of the chromosphere just before the end of totality. My photos are a bust (operator error) but there is no shortage of good shots from my group. We were at the VIP observing area, and perhaps the strangest part of the day was President Hosni Mubarak wearing his Sky and Tel. eclipse glasses.

A more comprehensive report on my Egypt experience will follow later this week... In the mean time, I'm still working on getting back from New York.
