Instead I remained home and imaged from my backyard using the new 18" cassegrain.
Lest ye think I have forgotten how (I did), I decided to image some galaxy targets with this beast instead of my usual nebular fare.
The targets du jour were M108 and M109.
I settled on 10 minute subexposures and managed to get 13 of them for M108 before moving over to M109. I took 19 exposures in M109
I discovered a problem with my filter wheel that compromised my flats but at least I understand what happened. So these aren't as well processed as I'd like to have done.
