New Image: NGC281 "Pac Man" Nebula in [SII], Ha and [OIII]

by Richard Crisp

this one really looks different in the [SII]/Ha/[OIII] palette compared to the standard RGB or Ha/[OIII]/[OIII] palettes:

[SII]/Ha/[OIII] = RGB respectively

Ha/[OIII]/[OIII] = RGB respectively

The tricolor image was a total of 10 hours of exposure: 12 x 20 minutes each for Sulfur and Oxygen and 6 x 20 minutes for Halpha

It was shot from my backyard in Castro Valley over the past four nights using the AP180EDT with 0.75x reducer and FLI CM10XME camera with Custom Scientific narrowband filters.
