Coyote

Well I arrived about 6 PM to find that the picnic area was double booked again. The same group as last summer. Thus we set up at the boat dock. I actually prefer that anyway. It is a better surface and the public is safer viewing there.

Most of the clouds stayed south of us. By 9PM it was clear. Transparency was not great, but adequate for eye-candy objects. Seeing was initially very bad and improved to just bad. Temps were fine.

We got maybe 30-40 visitors. Some were fairly knowledgeable.

We got a fairly good look at Mars before we shut down. There was a dark area that looked like a Y clearly visible in red or orange filters.
