Peak

by Rob Hawley

Same story up at the observatory. Early it looked like we dodged a bullet when some higher clouds covered half the sky and then cleared. The clouds then came up from below and across the peak. The wind was howling like a New England Nor'Easter, but it was above us so it was not that bad near the ground.

We were shut down soon after the moon set and were off the hill by 11PM.

The weather this morning says we took a direct hit from the Jet Stream. Welcome to winter.
