Here is part of my OR from last Saturday. Only the Hercules Arp notes are here.

Getting tired……… I’ll place the rest later this week.

22" f/4.1 Pegasus Reflector and 30" f/4.3 Starmaster GOTO Reflector (shared with two others)

Arp 2 22” f/4.1 (203, 293 and 377x)UGC 10310Very faint, very low surface brightness, slightly elongated (5:4) patch with even surface brightness throughout. Neither structure nor nucleus spotted. PA = 160Ί and about 2.5’ long. A 15th magnitude star lies about 45” off the NW edge and another 15th mag star lies about 2’ off the SE edge.

Increasing the magnification did not reveal any additional detail, but rather dimmed it even more.

Arp 71 (part of Abell 2151) 22” f/4.1 (203, 293, 377 and 528x)NGC 6045This is a very interesting galaxy pair! At 377x, it is considerably faint, 4:1 elongated patch with an almost stellar nucleus. PA = 100Ί and about 60” long. Kicking it to 528x, the west end took a slight curve towards the north. The east tip took a nice 60 degree turn to the south and it is a little brighter than the halo, but fainter than the nucleus.
MAC 1605+1745eastern tip.

Three other galaxies lies nearby, with IC 1183 (1.8’ east), IC 1182 (2’ NE) and IC 1185 (4.6’SE). All are bright to considerably bright ellipticals.
Arp 73 22” f/4.1 (203, 293 and 377x)IC 1222Considerably bright 3:2 elongated patch. Even surface brightness with a brighter “bar” with a stellar nucleus positioned along the entire major axis. PA = 60Ί and its size is about 90 x 60”. I did not see its 19.2 magnitude companion which is located 0.9’ ESE from the center. A 16th magnitude star lies about 1’ south of the center.
Arp 102 22” f/4.1 (203, 293, 377 and 528x)UGC 108145:2 elongated patch. Brighter bar-like structure seen stretching most of the length of the halo. There is no brightening of the center of the bar. The size of the halo is about 45” long and 15” wide. I did not see the 15.2 magnitude companion, but it could be “lost” in the bar.
