So what was all the enthusiasm about, referred to by George,
On my first round of Messier objects, finished the summer
constellations and welcomed Andromeda, and am now waiting
for winter skies. Had my first views of M11, 16, 17, 18,
19, 20, 21, 24, 25, 26, 30, 32, 72, 73, 75, and 110. Not
exactly a Messier Marathon but a good 5K. Peter helped me
see a shadow of a moon on Jupiter, I think Io's, and George
helped with Neptune. Uranus by contrast was easy. Marek
offered me a bright view of the ring nebula. Thanks to all.
I left soon after George and can vouch for his two deer and
the field mouse. The mouse must have been playing chicken.
