Shingletown Weather Report

I just got back from SSP. The weather was the most enjoyable of any star party I've attended. We had very nice comfortable sunny days with slight breeze and moderately cool nights. Observing conditions were very nice on Wednesday and Thursday nights. These were the best of the observing nights. Friday night, we could only observe until 1:30 AM or so and that was through sucker holes. On Saturday night, the public night, we were challenged to find bright objects that we could show our visitors through even smaller sucker holes. Still the public had a good time and I'm sure everyone got to see some marvelous things.

So it was NOT HOT! YEAH!

I truly had a wonderful time and would really like to thank those kind folks who spent so much time to put this together. They are truly great friends to us all.
