I logged 2.5 hours of halfway decent exposure before dawn.
I am using a different set of emission line filters for this image than I have used in the past. for some reason the colors just don't come out the same. Maybe I can work on that some more and get a color balance that is closer to the Hubble image.
I used my 18" f/12.6 classical cassegrain to take the image. It was the first time I have used it in months. The seeing was OK but not great. I was getting stars in the high 3s earlier in the evening and then it degraded to mid 4s. As a result the image is a little blurry looking. This would be awesome in sub 2 arc-sec like I had back in late Nov and early Dec.
At 5760mm focal length seeing makes all the difference.
