Fremont Peak, Friday May 20

by John Gleason

I was there with Mr. Crisp this night as well and confirm the very cold, partly cloudy, wet, windy and yes uncomfortable conditions. Transparency was terrible.

The night did not go well. First, I couldn't find the power brick for my laptop, then the Robofocus would not work, the 600 mount would not guide, then the new guidescope and remote guider yielded trailed stars. Finally got everything working at 4am! Tired and cold, I packed up and headedto Starbucks.

Saturday was spent at home de-bugging everyhting, and successfully ran multiple 40 minute exposures with the new guider supported on Paralax rings. Locked, cocked, ready to rock for the next outing.
