Quick OR Montebello 5-11

by Rob Hawley

There were about 8 of us up there last night. At twilight it was extremely humid. My lens dewed up and had to be dried with a hair drier. The humidity coupled with the lights from city to the east and moon to the west meant it was quite light. Initially the seeing was very bad.

I mainly wanted to chase comets this evening. To the south was 9P Temple. To the north was one last look at an old friend - Machholz.

Other than the comets I spent most of the time on eye candy.

By midnight the humidity had dropped, the moon had set, and the sky had noticeably steadied and darkened. Unfortunately it was time to go.
