One of the nice things about star parties is that there are always vendors ready and willing to tempt you with all manner of astro-stuff. So, most of my observing yesterday was in the vendor building. Al Nagler was there and I spoke to him a little while about his 2x Powermate. It is quite well designed. So, overcompensating for the clouds, I bought the 2" 2x Powermate along with the T-Adapter. It was a little pricey, but it sure made me feel better despite the clouds!
Anyway, tonight is looking a bit dicey also. Of the 3 TSP's I have been to, this one has had the most clods--and it is only Wednesday. For others that have been here more times than I have, it happens. Here's hoping for clear skies the rest of the week.
