It was really fun last night. Some crew of observers. Got there well after dark, so I don't even know the whole roster, but with Rashad, Rich N, Phil C, Matthew M, Dan W, Jeff C, Ron B(ritton), Mike L (Mr Variable), there was a star-studded cast. Also Tom Logan from Carmel, and Mr What the heck was your name from Sedona. Plus, there was this guy who took Bruce Jensen's voice, way of thinking, to say nothing of swiping his fancy scope. The nerve.

This is the 3rd year of this event, right? Good turnout, and fancy treats Ranger Jennifer was passing out. She was giving all the credit to Albert for arranging the binge.

We had a cool view of Jupiter just when Io was going into eclipse, with Callisto on the other side having emerged. The GRS was in the same view. And Jupiter's Ghost really did look very pale blue in Felix, with the outer halo clear.

Went back and studied 5746 in SE Virgo, and there was that long dust lane I'd missed. Seeing Omega Centauri just above the notch in the hills was a treat. Thanks to Mike for pulling it out of the trees. And thanks to Dan for my first enticing view of a geostat.

Bedtime!

Sweet dreams and good health to all the TACos, safe homecomings.
