Mount Diablo Saturday

by Bill Drelling

It was the same on Mt Diablo. Jeff Justiceson and I had the place to ourselves. Unfortunely the clouds socked us in so we packed up and left at 9pm. The clouds were not too high though because as we were departing I noticed the red light on the tower atop the summit was reflecting off of the clouds.

The good thing, though was that I finally unpacked the LX200GPS and set it up. It came through the move without a hitch. Everything worked great. It was 5 months ago in Louisiana when I last had it out. Hearing its motors turning again was music to my ears.

Despite the clouds, we did manage to look at the Moon, M42, and Saturn.
