Montebello 2/2

by Mark Bracewell

2/2 - a fitting date for double star splitting.

To keep it short, there was a great crowd at MB, these astronomers are some really friendly people. Sometimes odd, but friendly :)

With the help and encouragement of several folks, I did finally see the companion to Eps CMa and avoided madness (for the time being). I pondered this idea; that some people take drugs in order to see things that aren't there, while astronomers go to much farther lengths and often don't see things that *are* there. When you do finally see it, the rush is better I think. Thanks to Bob J. especially for the excellent advice.

P.S. James: Gamma Leporis despite the wide separation appears to be an actual (not just visual) double - 864 AU separation.
