To help with those chilly nights, I usually bring a catalytic camping heater. Harry W (he also had the same type of heater) and I discovered they work pretty good at removing dew.
I had an Orion XT12 dob, and placed the heater a bit behind the primary to zap the dew that had just started accumulating. After that I put the heater on the tailgate of my truck and put the secondary end near it to zap the dew from the secondary, eyepiece, finder, and telrad, all of which were pretty fairly soaked. Of course, not TOO close ;-)
Harry did a similar thing and held his heater in front of the corrector on his Schmidt-Newt and dried it off nicely.
