Swan-band filter for Machholz?

I finally got to look at Machholz this evening for more than 15seconds (Orion 120ST @ 20x).

I got the impression that maybe I could see something like the "bow wave" formed by the tails, but I wouldn't stake my life on it.

I tried an OIII and a Skyblock, but the improvement was marginal.

Lumicon sells a Comet filter, but at $200 for a 2" filter it's not cheap, and I'm hard-pressed to find a positive review (apart from the endorsements on Lumicon's web site). Anyone tried it?
