funscope first light

I bought my 4yr old son one of those Orion funscopes for kids. It is a cute little thing (he is too). Anyway, since there were some clear spots last night I took him out to a school parking lot and we put his little scope on a bench and I pointed it at a few objects for him.

He saw the Orion nebula and lots of stars. He really liked it.

Ah.. it was a nice astronomy Dad moment.
