Woodside Jan 9/10

Some stars were visible early this evening, so I did a quick check on 2 cv's and comet Machholz. Conditions not good, with a lot of variable cloudiness.

U GEM <13.1 (probably still quiescent, if below 13.5) RX AND 11.7 (outburst, this one's bright enough under almost any condition)

Machholz showed the broad dust tail, but not the more subtle gas tail thru the clouds.
