Well, last night a hole opened up in the sky over Alameda at around 10 PM (or so). I ran out with my binos and M45 was at the zenith. For the first time I was ablt to see the comet. It actually looked pretty good at 8x. In my mind's eye I could see the tail trailing off to the west. Now I doubt that it really was the tail that I saw because the light pollution here in Alameda is pretty bad and the tail is so faint. Most likely what looked like a faint tail to me was probably a wisp of cloud. But, just in case, does the tail trail off towards the west?
