Fremont Peak 12/18/2004
by Peter Natscher
I was amazed to see what Richard had imaged up on his laptop with the
180EDT/CCD camera/sulphur filter assy. All the detail visible was
astounding. I then looked at NGC 1999 with my 20˛ Starmaster using a UHC
filter and 27mm Panoptic eyepiece and saw nothing there but a small faint
glow around the brightest star amongst that visually invisible nebula. The
bright moon didnšt help me much, either.
As far as eyepieces go, my ŗsmall˛ collection of them is no comparison to
Richardšs collection of telescopes and CCD equipment hešs acquired in the
past few years... :-)) But with it, he hasnšt left it on the shelf at all.
Hešs made great imaging accomplishments in a relatively short time.
