The food was great, the viewing was great, the weather was great but above all, the company was outstanding!
What a lovely December evening we had...and Mom was beyond herself that we could be outside, under a lovely sky in such comfortable temperatures. On the way home she said that she know understands why I'm into astronomy.
The highlight for me was the view of the sun with the bands of clouds...striking! Look liked Jupiter as Mark W. remarked and that it did. I've never seen such a wonderful solar view.
Again, a lovely evening and a creation of a wonderful memory of being out under the stars with my parental unit. (She also mentioned that she would be more active in viewing with my niece and the 4.5 Orion dob when she got back to Colorado).
BTW - For all you Starbuckies out there - the Starbucks in the Morgan Hill Safeway closes at 8 PM sharp! However, across the street in the Walgreen's area, that Starbucks stays open to 10.30 PM.
