9/18 Montebello

Wow, MB rocked! 6.5 mag skies! nary a breez!, bikini and speedo weather! and a nice layer of fog to completely block out all urban light! The Helix was a nekked eye object! Best night ever in the history of MB.

Not. Like in my dreams.

Actually, MB wasn't too bad, got some clear patches, had some great company Dennis, Mark and Mark...caught some lovely views of the moon (particularly with the clouds just passing underneath it - wish I had brought my camera - the view through my eyepiece looked like a Parrish print). It was a little chilly...get those chemical handwarmers. However, when the clouds were scooting around us, the sky was absolutely beautiful.

However, due to early work on Sunday, I had to bag around 9.45 PM And my invited guests didn't show up (what is it with not rsvp'ing any more?!)... But, I'd do it again all over as it's just a wonderful spot to veg out and get one's mental batteries recharged.
