Foothills Park

by Jeff Crilly

I also passed on the FP trip.

Instead, the family and I went to foothills park. We were scopeless, and even binocular-less.

The fogbank was well enough to the west, like a large wall. Moonset on the fog was something unreal -- wish I had a camera.

I talked james into setting up a telescope, and we had some nice widefield views of the brighter deepsky stuff.

The seeing was like being in an aquarium, but transparency was just good enough to see the milkyway.

Rich was doing the bino-sampler thing, and had a bunch of us all looking at stuff. Linda and Jean had the most fun with that.

Green lasers were all over the place.

It was a fun party.. good turnout.. lots of really enthusiastic folks..
