The weather was great. It started out a bit breezy but by a half hour after sunset it had calmed down to a gentle breeze that kept up all night. The breeze was out of the northwest.
The temp was warm, classic inversion but without the marine layer blanket below. Transparency was good and seeing was excellent. Peter told me he had split some doubles separated by 0.7 arc-sec!
I continued my testing of my Pentax 6x7 Lens to CCD camera/filter wheel/focuser adaptor.
I discovered that I have a problem with my focuser that requires factory attention. The loose "timing chain" that drives is managed to jump a few teeth for a couple of the actuating mechanisms so it is time for a tune up at the factory.
I ended up manually focusing and trying to adjust the tilt out of the system. I am getting closer but not completely ready for prime time.
