New image: NGC6820 in Halpha from the backyard

by Richard Crisp

I got a bit of clear skies the past two nights here in Castro Valley. The clouds have been moving in around midnight so I only could take one hour worth of data on Wed night and the same on Thurs night.

I used my AP180EDT with a 0.75x telecompressor to take this image at f/6.75. Before shutting down last night I shot a 10 minute shot through [OIII] and [SII] to see if there's anything at those wavelengths. I found a bit of data so I will try to capture some of that to make another tricolor image.

It is a very interesting object. I hope to take additional data soon. Let's see what the weather brings this weekend.....
