That was Alvin's 22" by the way, he did set it up, but I only looked through it briefly. I failed on Abell 38 in Scorpius right around the time things got sucky. We also got a look at the supernova in NGC 3786 again, quite a bit dimmer than it was two months ago, possibly high 15th magnitude.
Still, I think, one of the coolest galaxies pairs there are without the supernova. The comet in the binos was awesome. Just as awesome was the Swan in your Binoviewer, that was the first time using a Binoviewer I really felt like I was getting a fuller, 3-D view. Very nice.
Abell 38: 74x and O-III reveals a very dim, circular glow. Took some time to finally confirm it but once found, not too hard to hold. No detail is visible. Difficult to distinguish from the background sky. Large (92").
