IHOP Saturday
by Marsha Robinson
Snooze, you lose! Nice night...the waves of crud drifted by, but
when dark night hit, the sky opened up. Worked in Leo & Virgo. The
most spectacular hit was the comet. What a beautiful sight with the
comet being right below M44. Wow! With my 10x50 binos, the sight was
worth the whole trip. I pray that some astrophoto person got a shot.
Venus, curiously, was the best I'd ever seen earlier. I didn't know
that with some crud in front of it, Venus is toned down enough to
really view its beautiful thin crescent.
As Bill said it would (CSC), the crud came back at midnight and the 3
of us packed up.
