Non-OR: MB Wed, Cinco de Mayo

Well, we got clouded out at MB. I arrived before sunset, and Stacy and Warren showed up, too. There were some holes in the cirrus, but never enough to make it worth setting up. In fact, it was hard to even make out Sirius, so there wasn't really any hope of seeing the comet. Oh well, maybe next time.

Which confirms, of course, that I never should have given in to the 2.2 lbs and 31mm of lascivious tempation that presented themselves on Astromart the other day. The spirit was strong, but the flesh was weak. 6 elements, 4 types of exotic glass, and a 42mm field stop - ooh, check out those measurements!

Man, the weather gods are going to get me for this one. I wouldn't be surprised if Halle Berry flies in through the window, trailing her long blonde hair, amid the howling wind and driving rain... oh wait... that doesn't sound so bad... hold on, I gotta go place some more orders...
