I had one of my sleepless nights night before last, and as dawn approached, decided to make the most of it and go look for Bradfield and T7 Linear. I quickly realized that, with spring having sprung and the trees wearing their new outfits, my view of the eastern horizon was pretty much completely obscured. So I ventured out to the greenbelt behind my house and found a fairly wide open spot to look for the pair.
With all of Rancho Cordova and Folsom's light pollution, I could barely make out Cassiopeia in the twilight, let alone either of the comets. I didn't see a dang thing. The only sight out there that morning was me, standing in a field at dawn in nothing but my bathrobe and a pair of binoculars, futilely scanning the horizon back and forth and back and forth. Must've been a real sight to see for all the early morning commuters whizzing by on Sunrise Blvd. :/
