The keystone of Hercules was nearly at the zenith. The Sagittarius teapot spout was 30+ degrees above the horizon. Antares in Scorpius was 40+ degrees above the horizon and lowest star in the scorpions tail (I believe is Sargas) was over 20 degrees above the horizon.
Being 16 degrees farther south has certainly changed my perspective.
I checked on Cartes du Ciel today and Omega Cen is culminating 20+ degrees above the horizon just before 1 am. I can't wait to get a look at that glob from the top of Haleakala.
