The seeing was quite soft at 4:00 am. I was having trouble splitting 4" doubles 40 degrees or closer to the horizon. Things settled down a bit by 5:30 and I was having pretty good luck down to 2" at 160 power with the Tak 102. Logged about a dozen objects off of the AL doubles list, mostly around Hercules.
Early morning observing is quite pleasant.
