Moon Rainbow
by Michelle Stone
I was out late last night around midnight and there were some high thin
clouds over head. They formed almost a perfect circle down to about 30
degrees off the horizon. The moon was almost full and almost directly
overhead. On the east side of the cloud bank I saw the largest and most
brilliant rainbow I have ever seen. All of the colors were vivid and well
deliniated. It absolutely took my breath away. I watched it for 15 minutes
or so before it disipated.
I've never seen a rainbow like this at night before. I've seen them, but
not like this. I sure like my midnight walks!
