Coe
by Matthew A Marcus
I went to Coe and probably shouldn't have. It was intermittently foggy. At one
point, the fog got so thick that I packed up, afraid that it would sock in so
that I couldn't leave. This has happened to me once at Coe and I had to stay till
dawn. Between the fogbanks it was clear, but Coe has gotten so bright! The lights
from the south cast a clear shadow! I think I'll have to consider Coe as being
not much better than MB. The seeing was also pretty poor. Anyway, I did get to
take quick peeks at Venus, Mars, M31 and friends, the Double Cluster, 457, M15, M45
and the Double-Double, so it wasn't a total loss.
