Montebello, 26 Nov 2003
by Peter McKone
Did Joe-Bob mention that the seeing was sub-arcsecond at Montebello last
night? Let's name names.
- Struve 3062 in Cas. (ADS 61) Mags 6.4 7.2 Separation 1.5"
- Lambda Cyg (ADS 14296) Mags 4.8 5.1 Sep 0.9"
(Thanks, David Kingsley for suggesting this one)
- Struve 2 in Cepheus (ADS 102) Mags 6.6 6.9 Separation 0.8"
The separation values for orbiting binary stars are calculated by a
spreadsheet from Brian Workman at http://www.psiaz.com/polakis/binaries.html
