Just a quick followup to Richard's note about last weekend.. it was indeed nice... nice drive, nice company, nice sky, nice weather. The only downside was that it was the shortest night of the year!

I took some pictures, and thought I'd share this one with you all... .. ngc 5981,5982,5985 in draco...

(A bit noisy, and could use a longer exposure, but I'm encouraged. This was 4 minutes with the 8" f6 on the G11 using the new-to-me ST7E.)
