Last Night at BC

I managed to get in almost an hour of observing after you took down (at least it seemed so) The moon didn't rise for quite a while, certainly much later than we thought (2 A.M.) That period was the best I got the entire time. Transparency improved dramatically. Unfortunately, I was pretty tired by then and stuck to fairly easy stuff.

I got some nice observations of planetaries in Cygnus and Aquila. There is an awesome variety of planetaries in this area. The blue flash was spectacular. I also was able to clearly see the bright spot detail on NGC 6894 which I've only seen one other time. We also observed it Jane's scope with averted vision. When I got up in the morning, it was pretty obvious how much things had cleared up. The sky was absolutely clear.
