Leonids from Roseville

by Mike Conley

I watched from my Roseville back yard from about 2:15 to close to 3:00. I saw several dozen but only a couple of flurries reminiscent of last year. The moon illuminated the moisture in the air and it was surprising how bright several of the meteors appeared. There was a very noticeable radiant affect out of Leo as one would expect with the brightest ones appearing to move from Leo to Orion.

With the bright moon I wondered if it made any difference to view from a dark site??
